The guy with crazy hair- I am a big fan. I am just going to use that above quote of him in a slightly deviated way.
I was having this conversation with a dear friend of mine yesterday. He is one of the most selfless people I have met in my life. I was asking him if I have an illness and spending a fortune will only give me few more years, I may just choose not to do it. He said this " Your life is not just yours. You cannot take that away from the ones who love you. No parent should watch their kid die before them".
I was telling him that I am weak. I cant handle the pain and suffering I see, and I chose to turn a blind eye. He said "it's not about you, it's about them. It doesn't matter what you feel. It's just not about you." Funny how right he is.....
We walk away from doing something because it's always about us. Various reasons. Mostly because we don't like being hurt in the heart. We resort to ignorance knowingly.
Now read the quote again. Who do you want to be?
What do you think you can do? Anything and everything counts. It helps to remember that all the oceans in this world are made up of tiny drops.
