I Ran. As Fast As I Could.

Oh!

What a night it is.

As I stare into the blackness of night,

I wonder about the shadows.

I want to go for a walk,

As my mind does not calm down.

I ran.

Days back,

I ran.

I picked my shoes on my right hand,

Bag on my left, and I ran as fast as I could.

I ran through the red lights

I ran through the traffic

I ran as fast as I could for three blocks to get to my car.

Then I stopped.

I sat there,

On the side of the road,

Weeping,

Feeling helpless.

As I sat in the cab,

Years flashed by in chunks.

The laughter, the good times,

The sacrifices, the joy,

I looked straight at the face.

I wanted to see the eyes.

But the head was bent, and,

I walked out.

I ran.

I ran as fast as I could.

The pain of loss, I can bear,

As I know,

God will make it right.

But the disappointment of trickery,

May God have mercy on our souls.

A day will come,

When I will rise,

Beyond what imagination can depict.

May God give me peace,

May God provide me with compassion,

May God grant me the strength to show mercy,

When that time arrives.

Luv
