Four AM, Plain Sweet Tea, Mac, Project, Transformers, and Expanding Universe

Tea, the notebook of scribbles that need to go into screens,

Mac, The voice-over of Anthony Hopkins,

And,

The movie that finally jumped the shark. I think it jumped the shark way before. Even so, this is my 6th time seeing it? I guess.

This 4 am, the kid in me, who grew reading Isaac Asimov and watch many of his stories turn into reality, wonders when we will meet our fellow passengers of this universe.

Do yall know that the universe is expanding ever since its existence? Here, the definition of that expansion from Wikipedia.

"The expansion of the universe is the increase in distance between any two given gravitationally unbound parts of the observable universe with time. It is an intrinsic expansion whereby the scale of space itself changes. The universe does not expand "into" anything and does not require space to exist "outside" it.

The first time I heard this is in my science camp while we were watching the sky to learn the different star patterns.

Yes, I grew up in a village, but among so many curious, socially responsible people. They gave us the spark to go out and hunt for more knowledge on our own.

In the camp, there will kids from all around, and you are paired or grouped with kids you have never met. Even if you keep going again and again.

As we watched and called out, I think I was 9 or 10, in excitement, I still see in me when I talk technology or philosophy or writing or painting, that words can not describe. When the teacher said this, we all turned with open mouth and asked the first question.

"There is space outside the universe?"

You see, it baffled us. The concept. It took me years to grasp and accept it. I heard the idea, acknowledged it, understood the words, but I did not accept it until the years to come.

This early morning as I watch Transformers and shake my head, I also consider being open to the possibility of more than one earth in this vast universe of ours.

I say this to say that we should stay open in life to possibilities that we do not even consider as existing. Just because we do not know something doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

May you all have a beautiful day!

Luv
